We run a website services company that lectures law firms about data handling, so this policy tries to practice what the rest of the site preaches: collect little, say plainly what we collect, and don’t be clever with it.
What we collect
What you send us. If you submit a form (contact, audit request, checklist kit), we receive what you typed: name, firm, email, website URL, and your message. We ask you not to send confidential or matter-specific details.
What the site records. Standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, timestamps) kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting, and basic analytics (Google Analytics: pages visited, referrers). We do not record form contents or chat transcripts in analytics.
What we use it for
Responding to you; performing services you’ve asked about; running and securing the site. We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it except with the service providers that run our infrastructure (hosting, email, analytics) under their own confidentiality obligations.
Where it lives and how long
Form submissions are emailed to our staffed inbox and also stored in an encrypted intake system, where they're deleted automatically after one year. Server logs rotate on a schedule. Checklist progress on this site is stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
Your choices
Email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted — contact page. Canadian visitors: we work within PIPEDA’s framework; U.S. visitors: state privacy laws may give you similar rights, and we honor the same requests regardless.
